About the Congress
A multidisciplinary meeting on addictology in Morocco
The Moroccan Association of Addictology (AMA) will host its 9th National Congress in Marrakech, alongside the 1st ISAM Africa Regional Congress.
The congress brings together clinicians, researchers, community actors, partners and decision-makers to discuss substance-related and behavioral addictions, share Moroccan experience, and strengthen humane, evidence-based care.

A new chapter for addiction medicine in Africa
The 2026 edition joins the 9th National Congress of the Moroccan Association of Addictology with the 1st ISAM Africa Regional Congress — bringing the international society for addiction medicine to the continent for its first regional meeting, hosted in Marrakech.
Under the theme “Addictions in Africa: toward an integrated approach, from prevention to rehabilitation”, the two congresses share one program, one audience and one ambition: connecting African clinical practice with global scientific expertise.
